For this workshop, we’ll gain an insight into the world of biomaterials and focus on mixing, measuring and recipe making. Participants will have the opportunity to look through samples created with the recipes from the online open source library. The bioplastic recipes are all natural, vegan, not harmful to the environment using abundant local ingredients such as beetroot, sage, turmeric, agar agar and even waste like used coffee grounds.
Materiom is a research platform dedicated to the experimentation and development of open source biomaterial recipes made using locally abundant ingredients and life-friendly chemistry. Its mission is to enable everyone, everywhere to feel they can participate in the next generation of materials for a circular economy.
The workshop works well for up to 10 participants, larger groups can also be accommodated. We can also arrange food and drinks.
