During this After School Club, led by product designer Andu Masebo, students explored storytelling, model making and furniture design through the design and make of metal shelves. They began the process by making cardboard prototypes inspired by a personal belonging or story, then moved on to experimenting with cutting, welding and folding sheet metal to make their final designs. The shelves were then spray painted with bright colours of the students’ choice to give them a bold character.
