With Cans We Can was the fourth workshop in the Taking a Break series of free After School Clubs. This workshop was guided by designers Attua Aparicio and Marina Dragomirova from Studio Furthermore, exploring how waste metal can be used to create components for a public bench. Using a variety of design tools, from analog to digital, students designed a component to be industrially produced.

This was an opportunity for 15 state school students aged 14–18. The outcome of Taking a Break was to design and build a public bench for King’s Cross, which was exhibited at London Design Festival 2025.
