This workshop explores sound and space, focusing on the process of casting concrete as a way to build sound objects from broken musical instruments. The workshop explores mark making in response to different sound recordings, and include the production of collaborative, large scale ink drawings and collages, focusing on the forms of musical instruments and inventing new ones. From these exercises, the main part of the workshop looks at modes of casting concrete inside formwork made from broken instruments and scrap material.,
At the end of this workshop, the sound objects were displayed in the entrance to the school, an academy focused on music.
