Growing a Feast

As part of the ‘Growing A Feast’ project, members of the STORE STORE community were sent seeds to grow various vegetables, plants, and herbs to contribute as ingredients for a celebratory feast to bring everyone together around a table. STORE students also took part in a series of workshops exploring the theme of food within design – from composting, bread making, and fermentation, to designing the tablecloth, making ceramic tableware, and dyeing napkins with food waste. The table at the feast during London Design Festival 2021⁠ presented the learnings and outcomes from these workshops, and provided an exciting platform to explore the intersection of food and design; inviting conversation between students, designers, and guest speakers. ⁠
