The Look Think Do after school club programme worked with 10 year 8 students from the Mossbourne Academy to design and make a series of 5 door handles. informed by, and installed in, different subject classrooms within the school.

For this course we decided to concentrate on the History, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Biology departments (see appendix for briefs). This 10 week after school club introduced students to a number of skills and approaches currently taught within The Bartlett School of Architecture, preparing students for a possible undergraduate education in the future. 

In pairs, each of the 5 groups, were given specific briefs relating to a specific subject syllabus. Through research, investigation, mapping, and drawing, a unique methodology was created by each group to determine the design of their door handle. 

Each student was given a sketchbook where they could record the journey that their projects took, including a weekly reference sheet and homework. The after school club culminated in an exhibition of the work at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL at Here East.
