Melt was a free one-day workshop at One Thoresby Street, Nottingham. Participants explored experimental, low-fi techniques such as pewter casting and whittling to build their own cooking utensils. A wide array of imaginative implements were created such as apple corers, aubergine scorers, pineapple slicers, mushroom roasters and a functioning knife.
All the utensils were put to good use during the BBQ at the end of the workshop when the participants of the workshop catered for seventy local residents and studio members.
