Tuesday + Wednesday
Join us for an intensive two day workshop guided by designers Attua Aparicio and Livia Lauber. We will dive deep into public seating design: from history to ergonomics, to materials and components. Through a series of design tasks and model making we will develop a flexible modular seating system that can be adapted and added to in future After School Clubs.
This is an opportunity for 15 state school students (age 14-18). This after school club is part of TAKING A BREAK, a series of design After Schools guided by designer Attua Aparicio to design and build a public bench for Kings Cross that will be exhibited at London Design Festival 2025. These After School Clubs are particularly useful for students interested in studying design, architecture and engineering.
